The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship’s Messler Gallery has put out a Call for Entries on behalf of its Maine Wood 2010 juried show. This will be an exhibition of contemporary work by Maine craftspeople in furniture making, woodcarving, sculpture, and (of course) turning. About a year ago Mark Irving sent me a disk containing photos from a half dozen monthly meetings and I promptly misplaced it. Found it today while looking for a flashlight (don’t ask), so I guess it’s high time I got them posted. First up in our blast from the past series is the February 2003 trip the chapter took to the Poland Spring Metal Spinning Company.
And the next one is Ken Keoughan’s November 2003 demo on tall elegant vases.

It’ll take time but I’ll do my best to get it all posted. I’ll have to scan the newsletters to create a pdf, and as a result, they won’t be in color.
