Tonight was the inaugural presentation of our new Show and Tell format. It began with a staged photo of each piece in Peter McCrea’s new photo cube as the membership arrived. The items were then placed on a table in the front of the room.
After Dave’s Sharpening Demo he took each turning in hand; studied it for a spell; and then offered his honest appraisal of it. This was typically followed by a statement from the turner with an open discussion among the membership afterwards.
I’ll admit that I had misgivings about this scenario, but now that it’s over - all I can say is, “Thanks, Peter! A great idea and most educational.”
And thank you too, David. I know critiquing doesn’t come easy, but you did a fine job of it.
Let’s do this again.
