Club President Mark Irving begins to turn a rolling pin from a diagonal glue-up featuring birch, cherry, walnut, and purpleheart.
Mark likes to control the cut with his index finger below the toolrest.
Detailing the shoulders at one end.
Mark uses a Parting Tool to define the end of the rolling pin.
Mark starts the sanding process with 36 grit paper backed up by a sanding block.
Now he’s applying the finish. Only took him an hour to work all the way up to the final grit, which was 150!
