February 2004 - Steve Gleasner

In March 2005 our own Stephen Gleasner was selected by Crafts Report Magazine as “One of Ten People to Watch in American Crafts for 2005”. But long before he “got famous” he treated us to a demonstration of his remarkable ring method of bowl turning for our February 2004 meeting. It only took the magazine another year to catch on.

Stephen explains his technique

I sure wish I’d been at this demo, so I could properly explain what he’s doing.

The rings are coming along just fine - I suppose.
